West Point and Dogs – July with the Three Rivers Band
Big Howdy to the 3RB Posse! We have some fun stuff planned for the back half of July. After recovering from our Independence Day festivities, we are playing a send-off party this weekend for a fine young man that will be off to West Point this fall. We are almost as proud as his parents and look forward to being part of the send-off. We wish him the best!
Next up is a trip out to Tehachapi, CA on July 27th to play the Canine Carnival! The Canine Carnival is a fundraising event for Marley’s Mutts, a dog rescue and adoption organization. All of us in the 3RB love dogs, in fact, there are more dogs associated with the band than people we think. We’re looking forward to helping this organization rescue pets and place them in loving homes. We hope to meet some Tehachapi fans this weekend.

Sportsman Camarillo Show CANCELLED….
Our Saturday show in Camarillo has been cancelled :(. Sorry to those planning to attend, we really did want to play for y’all. Perhaps next time the promoter booking the show will inform the venue of the booking. They only found out today when we called to confirm and it was just too short of notice for them and we understand. Generally, we love surprises, but we usually prefer shows where the owners of the venues know we are coming. We understand they also prefer this arrangement. Of course, an occasional bar crash is fun….”yea…we’re the Good Ol’ Blues Brothers Boys Band out of Chicago…”. The good people at the Sportsman were more than gracious about the misunderstanding. We hope to reschedule there sometime in the future as their plan to promote country music on the weekends develops. We are always supporters of those bringing country music to Ventura County and look forward to seeing you at the Sportsman soon.
Pretty Green Eyes
Here is a video peek at a 3RB original song written by Hootin’ Andy. We hope to get into the studio sometime soon to record it. You can see it first here! Tell us what you think.
